ragtopcars_slith -> replacement aircraft going into the void (8/21/2006 8:08:34 AM)

Hey fellow WITP crazies... I'm having a problem with aircraft disappearing into a black void when my organinzing unit comes onto the map... I seem to recall there was a possible fix, but I cannot remember what the title of the thread was.

Basically playing CHS 1.06 with WITP 1.801 and had an A6M2 Zero squadron organizing. When there was 27 planes in the replacement pool, the squadron appeared at Osaka, but with no planes, and the pool was drained[8|]

Is there a fix? I tried to rerun after reloading with no effect.

TIA

derek

This sounds like another manifestation of a bug that I thought had been squashed.  If you have a reproducible save then someone from the development team needs to take a look at it.

This has been addressed in 1.8.0.2.

The primary problem related to air groups without a proper base - it was a returning carrier air group squadron in the save game sent to us. This problem may well be covered by the fix.

Version 1.8.0.2 is now closed (but not yet released), so the best thing is to wait until you install 1.8.0.2 and see if the problem disappears.

Don, do you want me to send the turn? let me know...
The unit was carrier capable, but not carrier based.

I'm going to be away for a few weeks and will not have time to look at it.

Probably the best thing is to try it under 1.8.0.2 (once released). The fix we put in will probably take care of it...
