pauk -> thanks to Joe and Don (8/21/2006 10:45:46 PM)

It has been a long time since we had a positive thread here. Instead of bitching how game is screwed and bad designed i would like to thanks to Joe and Don on outstanding work and keeping this excellent game improving by each day!

Also i would like to thanks them publicly on their help - both of them answered and fix problems very quickly in my PBEM game.

Don and Joe - many thanks!

Terminus -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/21/2006 11:03:12 PM)

A-friggin-men! Of course, others will let their opinions be known very shortly...[8|]

Daedalu -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/21/2006 11:07:30 PM)

I know one thing, when my game buget gets caught up. and that will be awhile this game is one that I want.

Feinder -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/21/2006 11:16:57 PM)

Pauk is just brown-nosing so they'll release the patch...

I totally agree with Pauk. This game is fantastic and the continued support is incredible.

Thank you very much!

Speedysteve -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/21/2006 11:28:50 PM)

Well said mate. Me too.

Not just to Joe and Don and the work they put into the pathces but to Matrix again for this game.

I have never played a game as much as this for this long.

goodboyladdie -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/21/2006 11:31:47 PM)

Hi Speedy

How is the BTR/BoB testing going? It looks like another life stealer in the making! Is it much improved on the original? I cannot wait to get my hands on it. It will be the only game that can challenge WitP in my affections.

Speedysteve -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/21/2006 11:43:07 PM)

Hi goodboy,

Can't say too much i'm afraid but it is much improved on the original with regard to accuracy of units, planes, performance, tweaks, bug squashing (majorly). Much more to come.

I can't wait until it's our for everyone to see[:)]

goodboyladdie -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 12:00:25 AM)

Well thanks very much to you and the BTR/BoB team for all the good work you are doing. I am so glad that I found Matrix Games. I thought that the end of Talonsoft meant the end of proper turn based strategy. WitP and BoB/BTR will be clogging my hard drive for ever!

Don and Joe know we love them,... but quite right - Thanks guys[;)][8D]

Speedysteve -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 12:11:06 AM)

A BIG thanks should go to Matrix, Hard Sarge, Harley and USS Maine.

Thanks for your support mate and we look forward to releasing BoB/BTR[8D]

Don Bowen -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 12:43:45 AM)

Actually I think Joe and Michael McFarland did a wonderful job. I'm not so sure about that Bowen guy, he screws up so much that down is getting jealous.

Speedysteve -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 12:54:46 AM)

Agrred. Mike should be mentioned also. The guy is very knowledgeable and a lot of his results are not seen on the forum. Kudos to Mike. Thanks[8D]

I definitely agree! [sm=00000436.gif]

Although I have one or two requests for Don & Joe:

Could you please fix the ridiculous I-use-and-lose-my-carriers-stupidly bug? Also, the Oops-I-forgot-to-set-retirement-to-my-BB-TF-within-Betty-range bug? [:'(][;)]

Nikademus -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 3:23:35 AM)

"Jelous"

Don Bowen -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 3:50:17 AM)

I'm glad the ole Nik posted on this thread. He's another lad that is heavily involved in support and well deserving of thanks. As a tester, he finds all my mistrekes before they get released. He is very busy.

GaryChildress -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 4:32:21 AM)

Definitely agree with Pauk, Matrix, Don and Joe, Mike and the rest have done a great job of keeping this game alive and well. [&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o] Which is BTW the only game I play anymore.

jolly_pillager -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 4:56:27 AM)

It is true...if I didn't love this game I would simply drop it instead of offering suggestions for improvement. [;)]

ckk -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 5:00:03 AM)

With apologies to Mr T Amen again[&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]

oh, yes, how i could forget him? He is not only a tester he created a excellent mod (unfortunatly don't have time to try it or i'm just to lazy bstard) and very balanced&nice guy (i never thought that someone from Seattle could be that kind of person [;)] -just think about Perl Jam and other bands from City[:D])

He is here from day one, togeter with few veterans... some of them are missing - i miss Luskan, DoomedMantis even a old grumpy Mr.Frag[;)]

of course, Mike and Matrix are not forgotten too - but they are on ice since War in the East is currently on hold[;)]

Speedysteve -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 9:08:54 AM)

Nik too.......................[;)]

grraven2004 -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 9:53:49 AM)

Nik balanced?
Is it possible?

NAW

I'm from Seattle also and I'm a nice guy too [;)]

Apollo11 -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 1:14:04 PM)

Hi all,

Mike Wood + Joe and Don + Michael McFarland (MichaelM") and "NiK"! (and other "unsung heroes")![&o][&o][&o]

Leo "Apollo11"

P.S.
Why I always, and I mean always, missspell the names of people involved with WitP... [8D]

captskillet -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 2:12:34 PM)

I'll just add my 2 cents worth....great jobs guys ......[&o][&o]!!!

PS...............hope I dont get flagged by Mike "the enforcer" Scholl for posting something that doesn't meet his specs for inclusion on this forum

Rob Brennan UK -> RE: thanks to Joe and Don (8/22/2006 3:57:58 PM)
