pil -> non-standard campaign and generals (8/25/2006 3:43:40 PM)

First, thank you very much for this game that I expected for 10 years, playing with Empires in Arms...

little questions :
- when I play 1796 scenario, will french generals, that are not available yet (Ney, Mortier, Oudinot, Suchet...), appear as events ? Will they appear after battles ?
- will one star general be promoted over the years or will Davout stay a one star general during 20 years ? Historically, in 1796, Bonaparte was a two-star general, but surely not a four-star general

Just a comment, I am very surprised that Corsica (Bonaparte's motherland) is not french in 1796.........[&:]

Its a while since I played the 1796 scenario but I believe historical leaders do appear during it. In addition after a battle, in all scenarios, an extra new leader may appear, depending on the size of the battle and percentage chance. Historical leaders do not appear after the start in the 1792 scenario and as a remedy a Mod has been produced called 1792Custom (see the Mod section) which also has named units at start. Unfortunately COG does not have promotion of leaders so whatever value they have on arrival they keep for the duration. This is one of my wish items for a future change.
