ORIGINAL: Ecthelion008 In some scenarios we have elite formations within forces that only take a certain type of men. The desert campaigns are a good example in that both Italian and German units take Rifle Squads but there are far more Italians available as replacements than Germans. I'd resolve this by giving them different squad types. quote:
I've been doing this with scenarios for a while now, but only recently I've started wondering if perhaps lower replacement priorities also force lower supply priorities. Do they? Is there any way to model formation supply priority other than to use Support Squads to determine the formation supply efficiency? No and no. quote:
And in totally different vein, I've been playing around with the Overlord 44 scenario and I was wondering if it would be historically accurate to give the Waffen SS formations "Ignore Losses" emphasis to model their determined defense relative to Heer units. That might be a better solution than just cranking up their proficiency. Heer officers tended to note that the Waffen SS could achieve the same tasks as their own units, but always with much higher losses. Of course, this particular setting will only affect PO behaviour, if that.
