Welcome aboard, shipmate!  [8D]

Do you happen to have the Beta Patch 3.7.1 installed?

rebon -> RE: Windowed mode? (8/27/2006 8:27:58 PM)

Warning:  Be careful about installing the patch. [X(]

IMO, the patch is an improvement for solitaire play, but if you intend to try any kind of Multi-player enjoyment, DO NOT install the patch.  From the experience of more than a few folks, a bug has been introduced that will result in CTD if you try MP.

Read the reported problems and install at your own risk.

Thank's for the warning, I guess I will now have to join the members club to get the patch.

Here is a temporary work-around solution that some players have used.

We've installed a second installation of Harpoon ANW to a different directory.  One installation (3.7.0) is used when we play MP and the other installation we patch up to Beta 3.7.1 in order to play solitaire.

It seems pretty painless to us.  [8D]

Excellent idea, although I have not played online yet. Not sure if i would enjoy it as it is such a long game, but i do like solitaire for sure.
Not to mention getting into the design your own battles, seems endless fun :)

If you have 30 minutes and are interested in online play, take a look at this thread:

RE: H3 Multiplayer Server up ..

I'm online, now, and I can get you up and playing and out in about 30-40 mins. It is world's apart from solitaire. Drop into the chat rooms and visit us. [8D]

Hi there,

from your screenshot it looks like you somehow have 2 RunInWindow.opt files in your Harpoon 3 ANW installation. To solve this problem please do the following:

1. Go to the Harpoon 3 ANW folder
2. Open the "options" folder
3. delete the RunInWindow.opt file

After this you can start Harpoon 3 ANW and play fullscreen.

Cheers,
JP

Is the new patch ok for MP play?

hermanhum -> RE: Windowed mode? (9/21/2006 1:23:51 AM)

If you are referring to the Beta 3.7.1 patch, please read here:

Harpoon 3 ANW 3.7.1 Beta Update Now Available

You can see that if you try to play ANY type of MP session with the Beta 3.7.1 patch installed, you will likely get a CTD the moment you fire a weapon. [:@]
