JudgeDredd -> ovscombo2D.ocx (9/14/2006 10:21:00 PM)

I'm getting this error message when I click on the Trades link.

I'm using the latest BETA version (although the error happened in the version I was running before...which is why I installed the BETA) and I'm using Firefox.

I've searched my computer and couldn't find the file mentioned.

Thx

Hmm, looks like you must have been trying out some other game or program and then uninstalled it, and that program had a rude uninstaller which removed the control.

The best thing to do is a FULL PureSim Install and then re-apply the patch.

Rather than that...can you just supply the file and I will register it...please [:D]

I'd rather you do a full re-install as I have no way of knowing what other files you may need. It takes just a minute or so.

Will I lose my data to date? My almanac, season info etc?

Need it clarifying pls...am I going to lose all my history when I reinstall? Also, when you say reinstall, I presume you mean uninstall first?

puresimmer -> RE: ovscombo2D.ocx (9/18/2006 2:06:14 PM)

No, you never lose any data when re-installing the game.

JudgeDredd -> RE: ovscombo2D.ocx (9/18/2006 2:10:04 PM)

Sorry - still need to check, though. Are you talking about re-installing over the original, or uninstalling and reinstalling?

I'm not being dumb here....I just need to know exactly what to do so I can install AND keep my data...so I guess by "reinstall" you mean NOT uninstalling but installing over the existing installation? Have I got you right?

Thx

puresimmer -> RE: ovscombo2D.ocx (9/18/2006 3:12:58 PM)

Just run the install over the existing one, no need to uninstall.

Note, for future reference, even a complete uninstall does not remove your associations...

Reinstalled, patched and the error has gone, so I guess something DID remove the ocx.

Thx
