How do you make airfields in the game editor!?

Terminus -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/15/2006 1:25:07 AM)

This should be in the TOAW forum, where the right people will see it. To answer your question, the airfield is in the Terrain Pallette; just click the down arrow once, and it'll appear.

desert -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/15/2006 1:51:49 AM)

ok,thanks,I never noticed that.

desert -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/15/2006 2:03:28 AM)

this  might sound silly,but,how do you make bridges in the editor?

Put road terrain and river terrain in the same hex.

desert -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/15/2006 3:03:24 AM)

My rivers are all made of shallow water...

Chuck2 -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/15/2006 3:06:40 AM)

Well, you can mix shallow water and rivers. See below, the bridge is destroyable.

Thanks.

Judd -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/20/2006 8:06:23 PM)

When I try to deploy the forces after I set up the ORBATs, I receive an error message that says "Can't Deploy / The order of battle is not fully defined". Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how I might fix this problem?

Thank you!

You probably have units that have no assigned to a formation, like illustrated here below. Assign them to a formation and you should be all right.

Judd -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/20/2006 8:44:09 PM)

Thank you for your suggestion about assigning formations Nemo69! Unfortunately that does not solve my problem since all of my ORBATs are assigned to formations.

Judd -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/20/2006 9:05:33 PM)

Hi Nemo69!

Do you know how I can post a picture of my ORBATs on this forum so you may be able to diagnose my problem?

Thank you!

Then I think you are missing something.

Just for all you folks, it is also necessary that both sides (force 1 and force 2) have been assigned formations before deployment can begin. If one unit on either side has not been assigned to a formation, then you will not be able to proceed with deployment.

And of course both forces must have at least one unit.

Click the "Print Screen" key. Select "Paste" from your favorite graphics program. Decrease the picture size so it only shows the relevant area. Save.

Start a new post at the forum and select "Click here to upload!". Select "Embed picture in post".

That'd show part of it, of course. If you wanted to upload the whole thing, use the Save OOB As option from the file menu while the force editor is open.

Well, only gif, jpg, and txt files are supported. A scenario dump might be the better option. I think that has OOB data too.

Judd -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/20/2006 9:55:36 PM)

Hello Chuck2,

See if this helps. Thank you for your help!

Hopefully I uploaded the image correctly this time!

Now let's try the image from my Force Editor for diagnosis.

Thank you all!

Chuck2 -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/20/2006 10:35:25 PM)

The 1st TANK unit of the U.S.A. force is unassigned. See if assigning it to a formation takes care of the problem.

Judd -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (9/21/2006 2:01:36 AM)

Thank you Chuck2!

I tried your suggestion about making sure all units are assigned into a formation and it worked. Now I'm trying it in a modified scenario and I triple checked my ORBATs and they all appear to be assigned to formations yet the editor still will not let me deploy. I have attache the Scenario Properties to find out if anyone can help diagnose my current problem. Thank you in advance!

Hi Judd - According the image, you still have some units from force 1 that have not been assigned a formation. Be sure to scroll the entire OOB using the arrow keys. You can send the scenario to me in email if this doesn't help.

buff111 -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (10/17/2006 5:00:14 PM)

Help! I'm Just finishing up designing a scenario. I'm down to objectives (critical). I assign objectives for force 1. Next, go to force 2 and assign objectives. However, at the end of force 2, force 1 armies show up for bjectives to be assigned. Well, these armies have objectives (and these do show up on force objectives). Does anyone know how to fix this problem? This is the last thing I have to do to finish this scenario.[&o]

Chuck2 -> RE: TOAW 3 Editor (10/17/2006 5:55:08 PM)

Make sure every single formation has a objective #1. That's what usually causes that message to appear.

Also, formations which are planned to appear as reinforcements on later turns have to be given at least one objective.
