Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (11/29/2006 6:57:37 PM)

beginning of turn 7 isn't letting up any,my units are putting a hellofa fight and atleast I've gotten the "BOSS" pulled out to a nice stone villa in the rear.

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (11/29/2006 7:08:39 PM)

This battle has got me believing that the AI has been lax in its sellections of support for the previous portion of the campaign, just so it could pulloff a really dramatic change of TO&E high valued purchases to thwart me with resources that have firepower I can't possibly contend with!

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (11/29/2006 7:36:38 PM)

The only thing I see thats helping my forces is the experience most of them had from previous fights.

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (11/30/2006 6:06:00 PM)

So much for my thin but flowing withdrawl,,, my front line has collapsed, most of my fallback regrouping areas have been overrun and I have no consolidation of retreat,,,my commandoes have arrived too late to be real effective in anything but some rear area recce, maybe some unit harrassment, and if I'm real lucky maybe find an HQ!!

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (11/30/2006 11:12:24 PM)

you've got that right ALBY, I should have called for reenforce but thought their first wave would have peetered out, giving me time to run,,,also thought my commandos would have appeared sooner.
lets see what I can get out, and what the final score will be.
LOOK what my commandos did find!!

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 2:39:09 AM)

the efforts my men are going to is extrordinary,I would even boast that I think all the german units on the map have felt fire form at least one form of my battalion.

KG Erwin -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 2:48:06 AM)

This is courage. I would've hit the F9 (surrender) key a couple of turns ago. You're gonna defend to the last man, aren't you?

Request reinforcements. It may be too late, though. If you can recapture those VHs, you may minimize the level of defeat.

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 2:51:23 AM)

shuttleing units and establishing firing lanes to cover or retake VH's,and trying to remove lesser useful units from the battle field is a nightmare with C&C on but i've knoticed if a unit stops and will not continue without orders,u can unload the crews or passengers and leave them in the hex with the vehicle.{ as if their lost and got out to look around and get bearings}after a couple of turns the crew will reload the vehicle, usually on their own,and usually with a few movement points,AND orders points to allow u to move alternately to your objectives flags!!

KG Erwin -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 2:56:03 AM)

Can those guys get that vehicle repaired?  You have a random chance of that happening.

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 3:01:21 AM)

OH Gunny, your gonna love how this one ended,,,, I'll give u a clue, turns,32/32.
and no I wouldn't do a "TOO THE LAST MAN" to any of my core intentionally,,but u know how I like to have ALL my units on the board no matter how insignificant,,have a ride,,, and how I love to incure with annoying "time consumeing",attention taking{distracting}behind the lines boys!!,, SO watch and SEE!!!

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 3:37:08 AM)

I thought I had done a rather poor deploy that didn't take full advantage of co-grouping arms and stacking units on one placement,,because in a low vis situation, placement in source areas for concentration of fire is the best protection, and most time consuming to the enemy,,[make him have to call Arrty on your position, gain more casualties from probing attacks]THE AI actually had to over run this mortar pit!!

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 3:42:24 AM)

I'll say it again boys this was the hardest fight the AI has come up with for me in,,, what?? about 7 years of playin!!??

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 3:47:19 AM)

And gentlemen,, this is where with all the confusion and chaos going on in this fight,, that the SPWAW gods of game and fog of war gave me the cream of the churn!! THIS moment ment allot for the guys that died!!

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 3:54:06 AM)

Riun T -> RE: FlashFyre Demonstration Long Campaign (12/2/2006 4:06:16 AM)

can't go with out showing these guys.this Arditi squad is moving slowly toward the main VH group to recon my chances of recapture, and how many immobilized units are still active threats!
