I've found that Ectizen's MapThing is excellent for checking/verifying, especially on large or urban maps. In MapThing's .PDF image its easy to spot 'errors' that you'd only catch in the SPWAW Editor by reading the pop-up info for every hex on your map! Things like 'broken' roads/trails/streams, 'road+building' hexes (you know, the one's that make your most $$ tanks immobilize themselves by driving into houses [:@]), 'invisible' buildings that result from incomplete/improper clearing of multihex structures ...in other words, things that could ruin an otherwise excellent map. For those unfamiliar with it, here's a sample area of a MapThing PDF (at 600% zoom): [image]http://www.mediamax.com/jimnsb/Hosted/mapthing_1.gif[/image] Using the check-boxes you can include/remove any map elements in the PDF output, and the 'sliders' for many allow you to make certain elements more or less 'prominent' (handy when you want one element to 'stand out' on a complex map).
