man, if that story is correct, you have to say "bummer"...shoot 6 fish at a freighter, only to have them all be duds, then get whacked by the merchie deck gun? ugh...[X(] hehe...makes me wonder if we should lobby for sys damage being caused by dud torps...the story claims one of the duds disabled the merchies engines...

Actually it looks like 6 or 7 shot were duds and the one that did explode may have caused some engine damage. Still, to get sunk by the deck gun of a freighter would really bite.

It doesn't look like a sub profile, at least to me. I looks more like a patrol boat of some type. The story does mention she sank two IJN sub chasers in the same area before she went missing.
