GWsFBAStartOct292006 -> Three-Ranked Wish List Items, If Not Already In The Maximum Football Game-Why I Post Here. (10/13/2006 10:36:25 PM)

First, I would like to point out that I hate Sports Illustrate (not only media) and only read it for information (rommmate sucker enough to buy it) and trash their Miami Hurricanes trashing and Tradition FootBall (HS-Professional) biases.

In Oct. 16th SI's page 35 talks about Eight-Man FootBall (Northwest must) and Merging High Teams- must in Montana. The reason they are musts in Northwest is because of population.

My question is does or will Maximum Football latest version have Eight-Man FootBall (Northwest must) and Merging High Teams as league creating option? Commissioner(s) and the affected Owners have to approve the merger. I know about adding teams inbetween seasons, but not merging any teams in that process.
If not, these two are my 2nd to last and last wish list items.

My last question is does or will Maximum Football latest version give the league creator/commissioner possibility to require the Owners coach/play the other styles of FootBall like Canadian, Arena, European, 8-Man FootBall, Flag FootBall and etc, that a single team is represented in the league? I know one of Maximum Football best features is allowing league creator to add many different Football styles' rules into that one created league; but I whether do it on the micro level of depending upon which home team you play. Home team would play according to their football styles' rules and etc.

Think about how tough and cool it would be for us (USAn Football Gamers) to have to plan to play a Flag FootBall opponent (the most challenging I would think) and vise versa?[&o]

I could then create GW'sFBA in to the ultimate![&o]

If not, this is my 3rd to last wish list items.

8 man outdoor football can be done, but it is not league specific.

It is a hybrid situation, so David will likely not create format specific rules for it.

Marauders,

You ready yet to PM me on why you post so sure you know exactly about inside of Maximum FootBall? Depending upon if you are going to trash me for my asking, I would welcome our entire PM exchange being made public on here.

So, he can only do it, as he does for CFL, Arena and NFL style Football rules, but will not? Even, if he would do that (if I understand right) it is not the same thing as I am talking about.

It will be the next great revolution in Football Gaming Industry.

A few of us here have already looked at doing some 8-man outdoor rules football for fun.  Maximum-Football allows that by setting up hybrid rules.

David barely has the time to support three formats, so I suspect he will not support hybrid modes even if they closely match any leagues.

A purchaser can create any uniforms one would like.

You do understand, I am not posting about EAS's version of modes, right? [&:]

For clarification:
I am posting about each team (of a different type of Football) having that different Type of Football rules used when they play at home. [:)]

That is not supported. Each league must have its rules set.

This isn't the Michigan, where two seconds can indiscriminately be put on the clock for no reason

Marauders,

You mean under the current versions each league must have one-set of rules 1and field set-up for all teams? Because, one can still give each different type of football Team their rules and field set-ups in, before finishing the creating of a league. Thus one-huge set of league rules and field set-ups, just different rules and field set-ups applies to different teams.

dreamtheatervt,

WHAT?? Cheating has nothing to do with what I am posting about. You misread the posts.

GW...I understood your post, mine was a joke because unlike baseball where different stadiums have slightly different rules reguarding obstructions, field area, foul area, etc.; football's rules are pretty uniform, except maybe a rule reguarding a dome (which is almost impossible to hit during game play.  Lighten up, dude.

That is correct.

Each team is in a league. Each league has a single set of rules.

That is where I disagree with a lot of people, there is a point to which I think simulating exactly what the real FootBall Leagues and Associations1 should stop. Just some examples: No Polls that matter, California and any other High School FootBall State (with out a playoffs) plays in Playoffs, no recruiting way of getting players-use NFL's draft system-one-Big High School Playoffs for all states, money in the sport, steriods and performance drugs and so many more. Plus, I think some should be added to make the game better, example new playoff systems-along with the NFL's best FootBall Playoff System-, playing all teams in regular-season, this discussion, rest I have posted and etc.
