Here are some of the frequently asked questions for AWD. If you have any suggestions for additional questions please let me know. 1) Where are the combat aniamtions? - They have been removed from the game. There is now a lot more info displayed now on
the post-battle reports. 2) Why cant I kill enemy bombers on the ground with my Fighters? - Opposing non-Fighter/non-CAG air units do not participate in air battles fought
in their region. They are attacked during Airfield strikes, but using the attacking aircrafts' Ground Attack rating. If you want to take out opposing bombers, send some bombers of your own along to kill them on the ground or increase the GA rating your Fighters to enable them to do it. 3) Why are my subs not shooting in combat? - When subs are targeting surface fleets, there is a good chance (66%) that they
'fail to engage'. This represents the difficulty that WW2 submarines faced when combating surface ships. In game terms, it prevents submarine units from unrealistically being able to challenge surface fleets for sea superiority (something that could not be done by WW2 subs). 4) Why cant I send Lend Lease to Russia? - Russia must be at war with Germany to receive Lend Lease (ie, supplies) from other nations.
5) What does the arrow in Gibraltar mean? - It is a one way crossing. You can attack via land from Spain to Gibraltar, but
not vice versa. The rationale is that it would be largely impossible to stage any form of attack from such a small area as Gibraltar. 6) What do the white circles with numbers in them mean? Example, London 5? - This is a display of how many 'Strategic Points' the region is worth. Strategic
Points are added to the current victory score for determining Axis AV or victory level shifts. 7) Why dont my Flak units fire at air passing over their regions? - Only air units OP fire vs opposing air units flying over the region. The
ability for Flak to interdict air movement has been removed in AWD. 8) What can I do to speed up the AI phase if it is taking too long or appears to be stuck in a loop? - Try reducing the Non-Player Animation Speed. Lowering it to .2 or .1 depending on your system speed and graphics card quality this should help clear up the problem
