For a ship-borne radar to work correctly does it have to have a facing of '05-A' ????
Or will it work with other facings?

Its just that i've seen a few instances in the CHS 2.08 Scen 157 database that some IJN DDs have radar facings of '00-F' and '01-C'

If Bismarck was in the game, it should have two radars, one facing F and one R.

Presumably this would work with code. Only A if the antenna rotates.

German subs with radar had it hard wired to the conning tower (a set of dipoles).
It would only face F.

Tachibana class DD with Type-13 radar facing F
Matsu class DD Type-22 radar facing C
