ATCSMike -> CD required? (11/24/2006 8:25:11 AM)

For some reason UV is asking for the CD to be in the drive before it starts. This has never been the case in the past. I have two original copies of the CD, 1 on my desktop and 1 on my laptop. The desktop has version 2.42 and will run without the CD being in the drive. The laptop has version 2.30 and it asks for the CD. Before it never did but I had version 2.42 on the laptop then.

Could this be a version thing?

Mike

Yes this is a version issue. If your CD is a 2.3 version of the game it will ask for the CD as long as it is not patched up to higher versions. I know that at least after patching up to 2.42 the CD is not required anymore.

You don't need the CD laying in that coffee mug holder unless you are playing a solitaire game against da computer. If ya are playing against a Human opponent, den just put yer coffee mug back into da tray and forget about da CD.

Thanks. That's what I thought.
Hope 2.5 comes out soon.

Nope it's not that. When you open the UV game menu and click on play UV, that's when it asks for the disk. You can't get into the game without it.
