Make your pics... for me...

Sex Mission
Great Polish comedy made in the early 80's. 2 Guys are hibernated as a part of experiment in the early 90's then when they are awaken after 40 or so years they find themselfs in a underground city , the other strange thing is that the only inhabitants are women[:D] as men become extinct after Nuclear War and exposure to a specific radiation[:D] On of those two Alex a born hedonist isn't all worried as he want to be a reproductor to bring men back[:D] The plot gets interesting at the point when the main characters are told that women have no interest in the rebirth of men, and that for the good of their society, the two males are to be "naturalised" (undergo a sex-changing operation). At that point the two decide to somehow escape.

One of the best sentences:
Alex: Men are extinct? phiii they were not mamoths after all[:D][:D]

Sounds like something with "boom-chicka-boom, boom-chicka-wah-wah" playing in the back-ground...

not a very original choice but I would have to say, off the top of my head, MPs "Holy Grail"

Funniest all time comedy scatch might have been when Bean stuck his head inside the holiday turkey. As I recall I was eating dinner at the time and spewed mashed potatos out my nose I was laughing so hard.[:D]

Zorfwaddle -> RE: OT: Your Favorite Comedy (12/5/2006 3:07:28 AM)

My all time favorite is Dr Stranglove.

Followed closely by Naked Gun, Fatal Instinct, Airplane and that genre.

The Big Lembowski, Holy Grail, Office Space, Grosse Point Blank and Young Frankenstein are other huge favorites.

Quirky favorites include Fargo and Drop Dead Gorgeous.

….I also enjoy long walks on the beach and surprise attacks by carrier-based aircraft on Davao as the Allies….

George

Had the same experience with a scene in Brain Donors. They are at a performance of swan lake and the main characters come out as duck hunters and start shooting at the swans. The first time I saw it I almost passed out from lack of O2.

Kwik E Mart -> RE: OT: Your Favorite Comedy (12/6/2006 12:52:40 AM)

movies - see my sig line...i think mike meyers is a comic genius...

tv - the recent comedy "The Office" has me in stitches every week! [:D]

m10bob -> RE: OT: Your Favorite Comedy (12/6/2006 12:34:49 PM)

"Where does it hurt"? with Peter Sellers, (but I don't believe the self-appointed critics liked it and it competed with G.C.Scott's "The Hospital"(which IMHO was a drama in comparison..)

Anything by The Marx Brothers........

"Stripes"

"Mr Blandings builds his dream house"

"The money pit"

"Blazing Saddles"

Terminus -> RE: OT: Your Favorite Comedy (12/6/2006 1:09:13 PM)

Blues brothers, good call.

ny59giants -> RE: OT: Your Favorite Comedy (12/6/2006 3:23:51 PM)

For movies I would have to go with "Pink Panther" with Peter Sellers.
For TV shows it would be the first few years of "Saturday Night Live." The original cast was great and look how many of them did well after moving on into movies.
Others - Animal House, Caddy Shack, Mel Brooks movies, Rocky Horror Picture (if you brought all the extras to the movie theater at midnight [:D])

Mike Scholl -> RE: OT: Your Favorite Comedy (12/6/2006 4:27:11 PM)

My favorite "comedy"?   I'd like to say "Brady and his Midgets---the neverending story".   But I'll go with "All in the Family".  Brilliant cast and writing week in and week out for years.

Or (and I know I shouldn't write this) the skit about the professional growth of certain herbal substances which shall remain nameless in which the punch line was...
"Look for, the Union label"

Or, the Bass-o-matic..

or, the new pain reliever - Triopenem.

Candy-gram...
