Starting up Scenario 157 in CHS on the AB standard map - Aden and Panama Transport TF's can only carry supplies - options to Load Troops and Fuel are 'greyed out'. Does anyone know the reasoning for this? - and is it a permanent state? Reinforcement LCU and short-legged air won't have any move options.

This is a problem in the pwhex file. That is, you have the wrong one loaded - probably. If the port is not in a properly defined coastal hex - this happens.

Note you can play CHS with EITHER the CHS pwhex file or the Level 5 RHS pwhex file - and there are reasons you might prefer one or the other. Or vice versa, you can play RHS with either pwhex file as well. There are differences in hex sides, mainly - but both use compatable map art.

CHS requires my extended map, not my standard map, to play. There is no version of CHS that uses my standard map. As El Cid mentions, this means that you have an incompatible pwhex file loaded, which prevents TFs from loading at Panama and Aden. if you use the '1' key to view the terrain types, you will most likely see that the terrain for these places is ocean (Oa). To fix your problem, you should download and install the extended map, which is available from my map website or Spooky's site, and/or make sure that it is loaded by using the ModSelect utility, then verify that the map data is correct by using the '1' key and the 'F6' key.

Note also that you should install the version 6.3 pwhex update, which is also available from my website. It fixes a problem with several coastal swamp hexes.

This questions has come up a few times now, so I think it needs to be added to my FAQ...

If you have any questions/problems please let me know.

Andrew
