Tank Commander_MatrixForum -> What's in the Retail Box? (1/4/2007 3:30:15 PM)

Hi,

I'm seriously considering buying this game and am wondering what exactly comes in the retail box. Of course I'd be expecting the CD/DVD but I'm also hoping this comes with a chunky printed manual that I can read and reference, on-disc manuals just don't it for me. £40 GBP is a fair amount to shell out, hence my question

Thanks in advance

Warren

No manual, you have to print it out your self.

Still well worth £40 though.

You are going to be very limited on the quality of games you play if you insist on a paper manual.

The majority of high quality operational level wargames don't come with manuals to keep the cost down. The best war games are usually too complex to interest the general public so have low unit sales, hence the need to control costs. They also have bulky manuals which costly to print and distribute. If you want a game with a paper manual probably best to stick with the stuff in you local computer store. If you want to play a top notch operational simulation you are either going to have to print the things yourself or learn to read of the screen. (Personally I print them myself).
