I bought and played both Carrier Strike and Carriers at War. They both had plusses and minuses. In CS I liked the control that you could exert over the ordnance that you a/c carried and how you could determine the strike makeup. The graphics and how the TF's moved, however, left alot to be desired. And you couldn't control ground based a/c. However, I used to have a little program that I got form the web where you could import battles from Pacific War into C Strike and then play them out. You couldn't transfer the results, but it was fun to play. CAW was chocked full of graphics (so much so that I had to go buy a new graphics card for my old PC) but the game just seemed to fly by alot of the time without much really happening. Just the same, a few years ago I bought the Super Duper Ultimate Deluxe CAW and played it quite extensively. The graphics were still great and I had tons of fun with the editor, something else C Strike was lacking. I liked both games and I hope that htis new CAW has something new features that add to the gaemplay and is not just a rehash of the original.
