I'm playing my first game vs. the AI. Is their a preferred strategy by the majority to conquering France? The way i see it, if you take Western France, you need fewer units (and use less supply), you have a chance to kill some Brits and your invading units are in position to defend the coast on the next allied turn. Taking Eastern France means more units (and more supply) but you have less to rebuild (70 supply to completely rebuild in W.F. vs. 60 in E.F. - but the factories you need right away - 3 vs. 1) and aren't in postion to defend the coast. Does the decision of which one to attack impact how many units escape to England? Thanks.

As far as I can tell, any BEFs still in France at the creation of Vichy must be able to trace a path through friendly land/sea regions (via intact transport links) in order to make it back to the UK.....
