Redd -> Printed manuals? (1/31/2007 2:20:46 AM)

I finally got my copy of Forge of Freedom ( another Matrix title, for those of you unaware ), and I have to say that the printed manual that I received with it is one of the best I've ever seen. Are new copies of WitP being shipped with manuals now? If so, are they updated to reflect patch changes or just copies of the original? And while I'm at it, will it be possible to buy a manual only, or would I need to buy another game to get one?

Obviously this is aimed at any Matrix staffers who may be lurking about. Anybody out there?

An effort is beginning to work on a new version of a printable manual for WITP, but it will not ba an overnight process! So as of now, and for the near future, WITP will still have the existing PDF manuals.

I do hope these manuals are to be retro supplied to everyone who has already bought the game.

Well we can live in hope can't we [:)].

I'd be willing to pay a little more for one. Hour for hour of gameplay, WitP is the cheapest game I have ever bought and I do not begrudge Matrix a small profit, especially as the continued development of this game in patches does not cost me anything.

The details have yet to be anounced, but my understanding is that there will be a "program" for pre-existing game owners to acquire one of the new printed manuals, for a small fee.

Thanks for the reply J. That's exactly what I'd hoped was going on. I don't need it yesterday, but I would eventually like a printed manual for the best game I've ever spent my hard earned money on. I know that it's become something of a cliche' on this forum but let me be the next to say that at dollers divided by hours spent this game is among the top 3, and i've bought well in excess of 100 computer games in my lifetime.The FoF manual is very impressive and I'me sure that the WitP manual will be equal or better.
