Kai -> Question regarding miniatures resolution. (2/3/2007 9:11:04 AM)

According to the manual:

"Once the battle has been resolved the French player will
load the game and input the results. The game files will
then be sent to the Austrian player who will check the
input and if confirmed the game will continue normally."

How does the Austrian player check the input?
I have not seen any way for the Austrian player to check the input.
So far, with my games, the game just continues normally following the input of the results without any checking (or opportunity to check) by the Austrian player.

Also from the manual:

" . . . both players receive a list of the forces involved in the battle as
well as a note with the start-time and general terrain."

The list has the strength points and the commander's names, but no indication of troop type (artillery, cavalry, infantry, etc.) Is there any easy way of figuring out what troop types are on the list. (Right now, the only work around I can see is generating a written list associating commander names with troop types.)

3.4 MINIATURES
CotD now allows for the use of miniatures or any other offmap
method of resolving battles. This option only comes
available during two player games. When a battle strategy
is being chosen, either player may select Miniatures
instead of a normal battle strategy. Only one player has to
choose this option; the other player is notified and both
players receive a list of the forces involved in the battle as
well as a note with the start-time and general terrain.
Once the battle has been resolved the French player will
load the game and input the results. The game files will
then be sent to the Austrian player who will check the
input and if confirmed the game will continue normally.

Yep...we have had a similar issue...I got around it by listing down the units and types...before we got to a battle!
