turn 142 vs loveman and the vast majority of the soviet army, ie all the units with the red writing and light orange background have disappeared (if im not making myself clear its the tile that most soviet units are coloured in). im at a loss at what to do. ive attached the event error that came with 142 to see if anyone can help

I feel your pain(well maybe just some of it),as a similar thing happened to me but earlier around turn27. My axis forces had the Bolshvicks on the ropes with Karkov and Sevestapol about to fall.I believe we had a patch issue in our game to explain it but I'm not sure. FITE is an outstanding game and I hope these bugs get resolved.

JAMiAM -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/13/2007 6:35:15 PM)

Which scenario rev are you using? Did you start in CoW and then switch to TOAW III?

cantona -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/13/2007 6:54:45 PM)

started in TOAWIII
using version that came with the game 3.0.0.0

been playing without a hitch so far, game fully patched to latest version

hope this info helps

jonathan

Please send me the .PBL file that was sent to player 1 and the email for Player 1, and I'll try to fix it and send him a .SAL file and make sure that the units don't withdraw.

Thanks,
Ralph

JAMiAM -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/13/2007 7:01:51 PM)

Thanks Jonathan. Wow! 142 turns in less than 8 months? That's a pretty impressive pace you and your opponent have.

You will probably need to send one of the game files to Ralph, in order for him to fix it. I'll point him in the direction of this thread so that he is aware of it. Also, I hope you're keeping your old pbl and sal files. At least for the last couple of turns, since he'll need one of them to operate on.

JAMiAM -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/13/2007 7:03:22 PM)

Oops...Ralph and I crossposted, so I don't need to "point him"...[;)]

If there is a problem, he's on it like a pitbull on hamburger...

cantona -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/13/2007 7:05:23 PM)

i should have the last pbl file, think is i opened the file and had to save it when closed
i usually empty most of the save files after a day or two, it gets clogged up very quickly

i will say one thing about loveman1 he is a very good opponent and very regular

i hope we can retrieve this as after survivin barbarossa and blau in very good health i was about to proceed to kick hi german A*s* lol [:D]

need to go offline now ill try and get the files out later

thakns for all the help guys

freeboy -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/13/2007 8:47:05 PM)

ralphtricky -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/14/2007 1:48:11 AM)

It's a problem with a couple of the larger scenarios and 3.0.1.17. I only saw it recently posted to the support forums. If anyone runs into the problem, they can email me at ralphtrickey (at) hotmail (dot) com and I'll do all I can to help.

Apologies,
Ralph

Telumar -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/14/2007 2:56:35 PM)

I guess it will be dealed with in the next patch?

cantona -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/14/2007 5:29:53 PM)

i hope so too

Boonierat -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/14/2007 5:38:39 PM)

I'm confronted with this problem in my Vietnam scenarios as well, although they are both "TOAW III native".

ralphtricky -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/14/2007 5:53:44 PM)

It will be fixed in the upcoming patch.

Boonierat -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/14/2007 6:11:55 PM)

Great news Ralph, keep up the good work [:)]

freeboy -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/15/2007 3:24:21 AM)

Ralph, will will the patch be backward compatible to our current games?

loveman2 -> RE: Disaster in FitE (2/15/2007 11:20:01 AM)

Please help Cantona with this problem as I was hoping to stave off the advancing red hordes with skill and defensive tactics. This is a real problem and hope that our game can be saved. I started the game using version 3.0.0.17 of TOAW 3 for anyones info. Cantona is a good player and worthy opponent.

If you're talking about FitE Zort is the dude modding it and I'm sure he will be glad to send you a copy of it. I have version 5.0 and I can send a copy of THAT to you if you wish.

Just send me an email so I'll know where to send my reply.
