Prince of Eckmühl -> RE: DirectPlay error (2/15/2007 1:51:32 AM)

Have you run dxdiag?

It'll show whether or not the service provider is registered (look under the Network Tab).

Granfali -> RE: DirectPlay error (2/15/2007 9:16:46 AM)

Yes. All is ok with dxdiag. The service provider is registered (file dpnet.dll) version 5.03.2600.2180.

Below CC3 appears as "Directplay registered aplication with multiplayer support"

I can see I am the only one with this problem... [:(]

Do you see Cross of Iron like this pic?

Granfali -> RE: DirectPlay error (2/15/2007 12:42:00 PM)

Yes, I can see CC3 cross of iron and CC5 (installed too). The only difference with mine is in "registry" column, mine shows "aceptar" (accept) and yours show "OK". I suppose the difference is because of the language OS (mine is in spanish).

Erik Rutins -> RE: DirectPlay error (2/16/2007 3:28:24 AM)

Have you tried reinstalling, after turning off all background apps (such as anti-virus) to make sure nothing corrupted tehe BattleHQ installation? Have you tried downloading the latest DirectX 9 redistributable from Microsoft and allowing it to try to reinstall DirectX? I would start with those two to see if either made any difference.

Also, please post a DxDiag for us, thanks.

Regards,

- Erik

Hi,

I'm the BattleHQ admin, I think I know what's going on. Please email me at tomr at powerlobbies.com and I will help you.

Thanks,
Tom

Granfali -> RE: DirectPlay error (2/23/2007 9:20:49 AM)

After few tries, I can play via BHQ Lobby finally. My problem is fixed.

The cause was that the code that searches for DirectPlay providers looks for a specific string in the registry and it is language dependent. (I´m running spanish XP-SP2)

Thanks a lot for your quick and excellent help Tom (BHQ Admin). [;)]

Fixing BHQ?

every time I launch BHQ I get

[image]http://www.awjewellery.biz/pics/BHQcl.jpg[/image]

and then in BHQ I can't read the Cross of Iron full room description

[image]http://www.awjewellery.biz/pics/BHQ5.jpg[/image]

I also can't destroy a room I create  I have to exit BHQ then re-enter.  I can leave a room someone else creates without problems..

This is a widespread problem with CoI users

any help greatly appreciated

e_barkmann -> RE: DirectPlay error (2/24/2007 3:10:25 PM)

I wonder if this is a screen resolution issue, I run at 1280x1024 and have no problems with text being cut off.

KWP -> RE: DirectPlay error (2/24/2007 3:57:07 PM)

My BHQ screen has the same shortcomings as schrecken's. I can't see the full description of the CoI lobby or the number of players in that lobby. My screen resolution is 1024x768 and maximizing the window does not provide a fix. Would it be possible to rename the lobby to Close Combat CoI? It seems as if there is ample room for displaying the Close Combat III lobby.
