tucson3217 -> Newbie needs help with art (2/15/2007 2:44:43 PM)

I just am getting into the game and have noticed that there seems to be many well made art upgrades for witp. However i am confused as to which ones are complete for both allied and japanese in both the ships and plane arenas, and which ones people mmight suggest using?

If someone could send me some links that might include some complete art upgrade possibility and the reason for using that paticular one I would be very grateful. As it stands there seems to be so many to choose from and being new I feel overwhelmed with choices (this game seems to have that effect on newbies, though the detail is very exciting for me) and ill prepared to make a good decesion.

help!

TIA

The only complete art package is the Standardized Artwork Project, which has just released a reworked set of Allied shipsides. They'll be doing the Japanese once their eyes uncross and their jaws unclench. Find it here:

Oh, and welcome aboard. The game is VERY overwhelming at the beginning, but well worth it in the end...

thanks for the link in your first post. It looks like it will be standardized as well. It looks great, I will use it and wait for the Japanese one. I bought this game some time ago, but never had the free time to get into it. I have the next 8-12 months w/o any real work (some really unusual life circumstances, but anway..) so I thought I could pass large chunks of time diving into this...

WitP was created to "pass large chunks of time"... [;)] About the "diving into this" part, it's more like running into a brick wall, really: the learning curve is very steep. Fortunately you will find an answer to all your WitP questions on this forum. Welcome aboard! [:)]
