larryfulkerson -> Pacific at War v 2.0 Australia ? (3/7/2007 6:04:54 AM)

Hey you guys, I'm looking at the map in the scenario Pacific at War 2.0 and I'm seeing all kinds of goals for the Japanese player, but I'm wondering if Australia is out of the question for a goal for the japs. What's the consensus?

The Phillipines as a goal is a must. Five airports and four ports. I'm discounting Corregador as a port 'cause there's no supply for that hex. And from the P. islands the Jap can jump to any number of other islands.

Historically, the Japanese could not project enough force to face the main Australian Home Army which was really rather large at this time, with 18 infantry and 6 mobile (cavalry or motorised) brigades.

However I don't know what the scenario is like. You may find the Australians don't start out with much.
