Yeah, that is a minor annoyance. My guess is that it may have to do with residual "ownership" on the sea hexes throwing off the pathfinder.

Heh, that was my first thought, too.
I suppose it would go under minor annoyances, though, eh? Oh well.

LoL...just because it's a "minor" annoyance, doesn't mean it can't be fixed...[;)]

Ah, well, that's good to hear. :D

Namdamoon -> RE: Pathfinding (4/8/2007 9:54:26 PM)

One of the things noted in the past (Cow) was that if one sent out a long range plane, and the plane otherwise made a hook around a hex, there was SOMETIMES a unit in that hex. If a ship was then sent to the hex, only then was the enemy unit identified/displayed.

If a ship unit was not sometime moved just 1 hex at a time, some but not all ships, wanted to make a hook around the same hex.

This was the reason I had take the submarines out of Pony Tracks. I had one playtester that killed the submarines within 4 turns of arrival.

I ran some other tests on the subject and elminated the sea ownership as the problem. My guess at the time was that there was somekind of relationship to Recon functions.
