This looks great , finally an Atlantic game..I would be all over this just for the strategy part, and wouldn't even bother with SHIII. http://www.subwolves.com/phpfus/mFusion/news.php I say sign this guy if he doesn't already have a publisher or at least look into it. It would be a nice change from your pacific games.

wow, looks great! I hope the game is moddable, this engine could be the basis of a series of great games

Looks like nice foray away from the normal genres which is a good thing. However, I'm sure Ubisoft would be tossing lawsuits about if someone makes money on such a thing. The maps and such are SHIII not to mention the inter-operability.

I wrote Dave Heath about Matrix doing a subsim, some time back, and got no response. I suppose he'd want more input from the community first. I'd be all for it, as I was a big fan of SHII, despite its shortcomings. So, yeah, if enough support was generated, then maybe they'd consider it. I really don't think SHIII has the market cornered -- the game requires a high-end PC, and I, like many of us, don't have enough cash to shell out for a top-of-the-line gaming machine.

Cornered, no, but I suspect SH3 and SH4 together have enough of it that another might struggle. I'd love to see a strategic Battle of the Atlantic game, though. It would make a cracking PBEM game in particular.

There have been too many "drive it around under the water and see if you can stick a torpedo in something" games. Shoot, I got way tired of those before I had even moved on from the C64.
