Arkady -> Game Data - True ? (4/27/2007 3:20:17 PM)

On game page are specified following game data:

* Complexity: Intermediate
* Field of Play: Tactical / Operational
* Historical Period: 20th Century Modern
* Theater: World War Two
* Unit Scale: Platoons to Companies
* Turn Play: Turn-Based IGOUGO
* Players: 1 - 8
* AI: Yes, either side
* TCP/IP: Yes
* PBEM: Yes
* Game Editor: Full editors for Scenario, Game Map, and Order of Battle creation and editing.

Is this true ? Especially * Players: 1 - 8
In Talonsoft's version was limit 16 players for TCP/IP games...it's reduced now ?

It is real setback for our wargaming group, we are playing 8x8 team online battles...

How does it work playing a large turn based game on-line? I would think there would be way too much waiting for things to happen to keep people interested. I personally plan to get a PBeM game going once this comes out.

Thanks,
Duncan

not so bad, everyone command only few units -  reinforced battalion is maximum

sometimes we use timer to speed turn exchange :)

No, it is an error. It is still up to 16 players.

Sorry for the confusion.

Take care and good luck

A Jason, I'm guessing that the fact that the requirements dident mention vista was probably an error too. How copy?

I'm new to this forum and trying to navigate to reply to the right person. Here's a question for Jason: are there any new air units added to CS such as ME262 or 163 etc.

Thanks for all the hard work, Hammer 732.

Vista is still being addressed. The platforms listed at this point are those that are good to go.

Take care and good luck

klhbekool -> RE: Game Data - True ? (4/27/2007 7:05:09 PM)

I have another unit question. In the Talonsoft version you could not got 88mm ATG until 1943 in The War in Africa
campaign(the only ATG you could get until 1943 were 37 and 50mm-- but The Afrika Corps had them).
I still can't wait until The Campaign Series get released.

I believe the Arika Korps was using the Flak 18, 36 or 37 as anti-tank weapons. The PaK 43 was not produced until 1943.

Hope that helps
