Ok, being somewhat of a nut, I always start my gaming experience by playing the AI at the hardest level possible - just to get a feel for getting my tail kicked...needless to say, uh, not so good an idea at Full General level with the historical economy versus the North... I have been adjusting the settings and it appears the things do the following: -Difficulty - diff level is a net decrease on your income, however, it's a fixed negative adjustment based on diff. level. -Power - seems to adjust things at the source by %. I read in the manual, I know, I know, heresy right, reading...ok, the manual says the AI gets certain combat bonuses at higher diff. levels. I like this, but, as I set the difficulty level up, I lose income, etc., but, it's not a % adjustment on the total. It seems to be fixed at Full General at -80 Money, etc. etc. - regardless whether I produce 100 money or 200 money, I lose 80 to difficulty. Wouldn't it make more sense for it to be a % of total income? Am I missing something - is there any way to get the AI to have its combat bonuses without the fixed negative adjustment to the economy.
