My friend makes the following claim, is that true?

Hmm..well that sucks (regarding no QB set-up in PBEM). If we did go to tcp/ip then we ought to do detailed battles. I'm thinking this game will go from pbem to tcp/ip, but not vice versa.To bad you can't do pbem and then automatically go to tcp for the battles.

Can you play tcp/ip and then save it and go back to PBEM?

I think there's something in Leviticus that warns against the conversion of TCP/IP into PBEM. That said, the answer is that we don't know whether this would work, and are quite curious. If you happen to try, please let us know the results. If it doesn't work, please add the idea to the Wish List thread, since I can see how this would be a worthwhile feature to add to our engine.
