I have been playing the CHS for a couple of years. The pace of operations is slower than in stock for numerous reasons. The size of your AKs has been reduced, requiring more of them to support offensives. This reduces the number of offensives that can take place at any one time. 4E bomber replacement numbers have been greatly reduced for the B17s and LB30s, so there's no early war capability to create the uber 4E death star. For the allies at least, there are no air groups, they are all squadrons. I find that I like this as it makes it far easier to use smaller bases. One downside is when playing against the AI. Some of the base sizes have been altered, and this apparently (according to a post by Mike Wood) has affected a couple of bases the AI relies upon for replenishing major combat TFs. This tends to cause a stagnation of the AI's offensives somewhere between May and August of '42.
