owch, from a very quiet turn to three battles in one. that just took me three hours to do. just as well the GF is not around.....

Joram -> RE: News from the Front. (9/13/2007 10:36:18 PM)

This is one of the most creative, ingenious AARs I've ever seen.  Great job!

right, the next week is where it may fall apart, as i'm off up to visit the folks, so i may not have the time to do a turn a day as now, after that the Gf's back and my time drops again.

but I'm going to push on, I don't think the Union have all that much left in them now.

you know, If you'd told me one day that i'd think 512k ASDL was slow, I would have laughed at you, but then again, I'd also have laughed if you said my computer would have 2 gig of ram.

mine does, my parents may still have 8 meg. I really have to upgrade this thing at some point. either that or connect mine to their net to do this. oh yeah, and I find the lack of a mouse wheel disturbing.

Drex -> RE: News from the Front. (9/15/2007 6:20:07 PM)

Well you are still setting the standard for AARs. Hopefully you can do one for the Union.

Two turns, as I didn't get to put one I did yesterday up. Sundays turn never happened after I went to a reenactment and got grabbed as a cameraman in a battle between the confederates (playing boars) and the redcoats of the 1879 period.

With This amount of workload I doubt it. I've got something planned for another game.

Thanks not to say that I won't do another AAR, just not one like this.

EDIT: And once again I forgot to change the bloody date.

Dam the union and their seemingly inexsaustable supply of manpower. every time I think I've smashed them for good, up pops another 50,000 man army. and all the time my manpower is dropping.

Now I know how the confederates felt.

two turns for you lucky, lucky people. I've got the AoNV on normal supply, so hopfully the 5k replacements a turn should flow into that army, and with wintercoming up, I may have a chance to rebuild the army.

then again, so will the Union, and they have more men to do it with.

thats all of january, most likly the same for feb, with nothing going on i'm going to skip through them quickly and get back to the action.

most likley no posts tommorow, going home and trying to sort things out, after that we're back on the intermittent posting. but I should be able to sort something for monday.

sirduke_slith -> RE: News from the Front. (9/23/2007 7:15:13 AM)

chadandpia -> RE: News from the Front. (9/24/2007 8:52:35 PM)

Finally

Sorry about the spotty updates, but the has been a berivement in the family, and as you can guess, theres not been much urge to play computer games, especially ones where you commit to writing an AAR.

That said, I do hope to return to some sort of regular update in the next week or two.
if not, someone find me and beat me around the head until I do.

and I'm back, at least a turn tommorow, and after that we'll se how it goes.

not idea how my casuties were so low, i rember lots of 150 killed messages during the combat.

burigards starting to annoy me now, if he can't get moving, then I'm going to replace him, just for RP reasons.

EDITED = so that the Headline doesn't read "Burigard Destroys Kentucky" [X(]

two turns as nothing happened of note in the first.
recapturing new orleans has really helped my money situation, I've been able to go back up to 5 dipolmacy and with the 15% bonus from Clarke, i should see some movement there soon.
some lesson about concentraiting resources there I think

Grey Hunter In Midweek Post Shocker!
you know, I never thought about the endgame being the hardest part, were down to a few small battles and some seiges, which makes it hard to write about, turn 50 didn't even have any casualties!

time to get this sucker done I think. the games just gone past the point where the AAR can be entertaining anymore.
