David Heath -> Release Date and Price (6/4/2007 9:44:16 PM)

Hi Guys

This has been one of those releases that bites me everytime I turn around but I am loving it anyway. First I want to thank Wyatt Kappely, Jason Petho, and George Smithson of the Campaign Series Legion team for all of there hard work. Getting everything into place, testing and making it work with Vista was no small job.

The game should be available sometime late tonight early tomorrow. The price will be $34.99 for a digital download and $44.99 Game On Demand Box version. The box version will come with a printed manual as well.

Now I normally do not post ahead of a release but since this has been so delayed we wanted to make an exception.

David

JAMiAM -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/4/2007 10:21:04 PM)

Congrats to the crew for doing what you do!

JudgeDredd -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/4/2007 10:32:41 PM)

David

To avoid MASSIVE disappointment later, can you assure me that this is released to all and not just the US as per UFO?

I am sure that's the case...I would just like an assurance, pls.

Thx

JudgeDredd -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/4/2007 10:34:59 PM)

David

One other thing, and I do apologise for this as it gets asked at almost every release...the reason I ask now is that I was aware that recently your stand has changed....

If I want the boxed copy, in years gone by, I had to wait for that to become available. However, as far as I gather recently, if I want a box copy, I can order the box copy and download straight away, is that correct?

Again, thx for taking the time.

bubbak -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/4/2007 10:49:29 PM)

Thank You!!! Pre Invasion guess we have to send in the Path Finders.

CJMello63 -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/4/2007 11:46:59 PM)

Good news. Thanks David.

CJ

Hammer732 -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 12:29:10 AM)

Dear David,
Great news!!! If I download the version for $34.99, will I be sent a physical game disc and manual later or must I purchase both? I also presume this game version will not conflict with the older version of East/West Front I have on my XP system which runs nicely (I guess I'm one of the lucky ones).

Thanks, Hammer732

Hi Judge

You know we love ya [:D]. UFO release was something that was beyond our control. This game is fully under our control and we will be handling the World Wide Release.

Hertston -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 1:10:53 AM)

Looking forward to this one, having spent many happy hours with East Front 2 in the past. Pity Divided Ground isn't included as well, but can't complain at the price.

David Heath -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 1:12:13 AM)

Another story for a different day.

captskillet -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 1:35:28 AM)

Am d'loading as I type............[:D] [;)] !!!!

JoeRockhead -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 2:00:43 AM)

Me too!!!!!!!!!!!!! [:D] [&o]

Hertston -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 2:28:06 AM)

Likewise.

What IS this 'extended download service' DR are trying to rip us off for? I thought there was no problem re-downloading from Matrix - I've certainly done it before.

Rik81 -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 2:37:02 AM)

Didn't see an option for getting the physical shipment (either with or without the digital download)?

CJMello63 -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 4:51:33 AM)

No, no info on a CD shipment. But at least the glory years are back in style. Dang 8 year old picture.

Priceless!!

CJMello63 -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 5:06:50 AM)

Funny thing is that I am actually a Sgt now in my department. The game was telling my future. Should have had Glenn make me a damn Colonel though. I think Kibler had the market on that rank though.

klhbekool -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 6:26:19 AM)

I couldn't wait I got mine and its time for North Africa, sorry but I got kick some Tommie butt

klhbekool -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 6:26:41 AM)

Thanks Guys

David Heath -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 6:38:37 AM)

Hi Guys

The Game On Demand (Box Version) will be available tomorrow.  We wanted to get it out ASAP.

David

CJMello63 -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 6:40:53 AM)

Dave, just to give you a heads up what you will be hit with. Guys will want to know if it will be available to those that did the DL today.

Hi Hertston

Well in the past it was not big problem but now volume has picked up a lot and it is causing an issue. Remember this is not FORCED on you (No Rip Off) its a service for those who don't want to burn there serial number and game on to a CD. Also if you order a Game On Demand you don't need this either.

Rik81 -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 7:40:02 AM)

Yeah, but some of us like the nice PRINTED MANUAL!

Then wait and order the physical version [;)] which will be up for sale tomorrow (as Dave mentioned). We will announce this seperately.

Ignore it, you do not need it.

Hertston -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 9:49:55 AM)

Edited, in view of Marc's comments above. Confused at David's comments above.

e_barkmann -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 9:55:37 AM)

it's a bit cheeky for DR to add extended download service as a default purchase though - the order has to be deliberatedly updated for it to be removed - someone in an excited hurry would not always notice...

cheers Chris

Clear and concise, Marc, but you may not have made any friends at DR!! [;)]

It should not be default. I will have Erik check into this.

On a sidenote. I purchased lastest MS Office package via DR a few days ago (yes they also handle the shop for Microsoft [;)]) and had to update the purchase myself in order to not have the extended download service.

Eagle Strike -> RE: Release Date and Price (6/5/2007 1:36:56 PM)

I just wanted to say "THANKS" to everyone on the Matrix CS Team who spent endless hours, days, months on this project.

My wallets open but I'm waiting for the Box Version!
