Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/9/2007 1:19:02 AM)

damage to targets look good, EFACs are crippled

think today, targets will be RRs

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/9/2007 1:23:46 AM)

well, it has been bloody, way too bloody, but for this battle, that is the idea

but the LW is taking 10% losses, they can't keep it up for long, plus, they will be short of replacements soon (if the war was to keep going)

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/9/2007 2:32:36 AM)

day 6 was pretty much a day or resting, sent out 2 main raids to the Rhur to knock out some RRs and steal the win

ended up tradeing losses

but got enough points to get the win, so, I was a little worried that the total was too high to get, but I was able to do it, so think it is doable :)

it was shocking to see the battle from the LW side after it was done (as I said, recon, the damage was alot different then I thought it was, the LW was hurting much worse)

still see some things I need to correct :( but that is the reason for the tests

one thing kind of major, the rest minor, many minor :(

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/9/2007 2:46:38 AM)

that wasn't so bad, corrected a number of bad AFs and changed some GE production, old planes still being built that are not being flown :(

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 11:53:24 AM)

just a silly test run for BoB41

long day and I tired, but not wanting to go to bed, so plotting silly turns to see how they work out

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 11:58:28 AM)

the low raid is a bait, it should draw the RAF like flies to honey, so I got my fastest bombers, and heavy fighters

followed with a star burst raid to the middle each of the first 4 raids are set with a 4 minute delay between them, the RAF can put up a lot of fighters, but so can I

the one to the north, is a very low level raid by my 110s, want to see if they slip in or not, which the other north raid, is more of a decoy, the RAF radar should see that way before they spot the low raid, but, it also has alot of fighters, as I am hopeing the RAF is going to have to scramble to engage it, and I want to hammer anything that gets close

shot of the details on the raids

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 12:01:29 PM)

which just in case, alot of times when I do stuff like this, I have not run the turn yet (it is waiting on me to hit the button)

it would be cheating to sit here and tell you want I am doing and what I am expecting to happen, when I already know the outcome :)

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 12:20:28 PM)

Hmmmm

not too swift :)

them Spits sure did some climbing !!!!

I had a Ace up my sleave, and the Spits bounced them !!!!

no good Brits, never did play fair

we pretty much trading losses so far, but....

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 12:22:39 PM)

and again, I have lines turned on, you can also have the plane type to show what is going on, I like, am used to using lines

we also hope to have a Icon system set up, so it will show the raid as a national Icon instead of a plane type

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 12:53:42 PM)

overall, would of been a good day, of course, Luft 3 just stood down, and the northern boys got to play in the sauna all day

I needed to flip the raids around, my 2nd raid was fast, while the 3rd and 4th were pretty slow, so a gap showed up, I should of checked the review missions and looked at the Time on Target, oh well, I said I was tired :)

I got some good runway damage, as 4 or so Spits were lost trying to land after the raids

overall, would be happy, but for the last raid, that was the one I was counting on

the low level raid worked like a charm, the RAF didn't pick it up, until it crossed the coast, and by then it was too late to catch up to it, base got hit good, and the RAF lost a lot of Balloons too

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 12:57:04 PM)

which if you look at that screen, that is why I and others say to recon, since I kind of set up the defence at most of those bases, I know what is there, and what the raid detail is saying, is not even close :)

one thing I did see, one the main raid was broken up and on the way home and all split up, just as the fighters got into them, they broke off and reacted to my deep raid, so the plan worked, or my bomber losses would of been worse

all timeing, 2 or 3 minutes here or there and we looking at a lot of losses or only a few

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 12:59:04 PM)

what is shocking for me is the number of IICs that got hit, there are just not that many of them out there, so the few units that had them, got hammered

overall, so far, got to say, the Wind is looking like a good plane

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/10/2007 1:01:46 PM)

that is why I run tests

[:D] Is this something you have had hard coded HS?

An Ace dev and now an Ace pilot. It is great to see everyone is working so hard to get this to all the impatient waiters. Thank you for taking the time to test it so thoroughly. It would be great to get a game that does not need patching twice in the first week for a change!

Hard Sarge -> RE: AAR from a test run (6/30/2007 11:24:31 AM)

I was put into the data base, a long time ago, before this project started :)

as for testing and nonpatching, can't even say that with all the test runs and checks, something is not going to be seen, that should of been seen

the good part is, OOB changes, corrections and stuff like that, can be fixed, corrected, changed in a short time, a programming error, change, may take a bit

but if all goes according to plan, the first patch, should be more a feature patch, then a oops, need to fix that type of patch
