THW -> American Front 1940: The Fourth American Civil War (6/21/2007 1:14:56 PM)

G'day,

After several years of work, I've finally finished 'American Front 1940'. This scenario is a sequel to 'American Front 1914', my WW1 version of a war between the Confederate States, Britain and Mexico against the United States. The United States, allied to Germany in the Great War, overwhelmed the Southerners and Canadians, imposing a harsh peace on both.

In 'American Front 1940 ', the Confederates are eager for revenge, and with a re-armed Britain, try to gain this in May 1940. Confederate armoured divisions storm north, while the Royal Navy clears a path across the Atlantic, seeking safe passage to the warzones of North America for British and Commonwealth troops. In the north, Canadian partisans try to tie down US forces, while the 'independant' Republic of Quebec weighs up its options. But the United States is a powerful enemy, and it will take a lot of effort to bring it down.

This scenario has been uploaded to Rugged Defence, and you can get it here;

I'd like to thank Bill Lott and Raver for their help in playtesting this scenario, thanks heaps guys.

I hope you enjoy playing this, as much as I enjoyed making it.

G'day mate,

Yeah it did take ages, but eased by using the same map as AF 14. The hard part was getting the (imaginary) TOE and Orbat right, which wasn't helped by a bug that crashed an earlier version and saw me reinputting the whole orbat (which was then changed at least twice). Followed by over a year of playtesting.

So I hope you enjoy it; I really did enjoy making it, imaginary situation and all. I also hope that the bloody thing doesn't crash on turn 19, but I've done all I can to make sure that doesn't happen.

Cheers,

Tane.
