M1911 -> can't find smackw32.dll (9/6/2000 6:31:00 AM)

Folks: I had 2.0 working. Then installed the 2.0 to 2.1 updgrade, then the 2.2 upgrade, and finally the 2.3 upgrade. But now, when I try to run SPWAW, I get the message: A required .dll file, smackw32.dll, was not found. But the file exists in the main directory for the game. Any ideas what the problem might be? Ok, so it appears the installshield is a bit, um, unusual. It put the 2.2 upgrade in another directory below where I expected it. So I deleted that directory, redid the 2.2 and 2.3 upgrades, and now I get: spwaw.exe the specified file was not found This is getting old. Any ideas? Jared

Fixed. Looks like the 2.0 to 2.1 upgrade must of gone astray as well. I reinstalled all the upgrades in order again, and now it's working. As a suggestion, it might be better if the install shield did not add the extra directory after you have browsed to specify directory to put the upgrade in. Jared
