Salute to the Canadians, whose great Grandfathers fought one of the first successful [arguably, I'm sure] Allied actions of WW1: Vimy Ridge. And to the Canadians, whose Grandfathers, by their sacrifice at Dieppe, helped make D-Day in Normandy the success it was. And to the Canadians today serving in Afghanistan.

Impressive for a nation of around twenty million inhabitants- but I suppose most of the alternatives had been knocked out of the running in the preceeding six years.
