ORIGINAL: freeboy Disagree on the positive for "Campaigns on the danube" [:-], seemed like a 90's game without much substance imo.. anyone here like Europa Universalis III ? thinking about getting it while waiting on some other whales It's OK. Gameplay can get a bit samey in mid-game unless you have a series of plans to implement. Basically, it's a sandbox to try out ideas - one of the countries in the game always gets big enough to offer a challenge but it's always the same kind of challenge - how to take down the big boy. I'd like to see the developers come out with a series of scenarios with a bit of period-specific chrome for each. How would you cope as Charles I or Cromwell in the ECW, Cortez in Mexico, or any of the belligerents in the Thirty Years War?
