Taz0713 -> Retired (7/13/2007 5:36:49 AM)

I have read a lot of the dynasties written here and other sites and I have the itch to try one myself. So without further ado, I would like to bring you the 2006 Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers have been a franchise that has not seen much success since the glory days of Harvey's Wall Bangers. Whether it is do cheap ownership (yes that means you Mr. Selig) or mismanagement, this team and the city of Milwaukee has suffered since. My goal will to be return this franchise to its glory days (alright no world series victories, but that would be my goal).

I am not a gm that intends to do this through multiple trades, but by building through the draft and adding the right mixture of veterans where needed. I don't expect to win overnight, but I do expect to build this team for lasting success.

Lets meet the Brewers:

Pittsburgh Pirates 11 at Milwaukee Brewers 4

Starters:  Zach Duke (0-0, 0.00) v David Bush (0-0, 0.00)

HR: Pit - Jose Bautista (1), Jose Castillo (1), Craig Wilson (1) Mil - None

What can I say about our first game of the season.  We did not show up, as Pittsburgh scored in every inning but fifth and ninth.  If we have many more games like this one, I will be sent to an early grave.  What went wrong?  David  Bush was awful.  He struggled to get hitters out only going 3.2 innings and giving up all three home runs, plus nine hits.  He wasn't the only one though as the pitching staff as a whole gave up twenty two hits, walking four and only striking out two.  Our offense wasn't much better Corey Koskie doing anything at the plate, going 3-4.  The player of the game had to be Craig Wilson of the Pirates who went 4-6 with a Home Run and five RBIs.

Thankfully we have tomorrow off to rest our bullpen and try to get our offense going.

Taz0713 -> RE: March 31, 2006 (7/13/2007 9:46:05 PM)

Thank you KG. My reports will probably change from time to time, but I am trying to make the updates fun and not a lot of work.

Taz0713 -> RE: March 31, 2006 (8/4/2007 8:14:41 AM)

Well some bad news.

I was showing a nephew of mine this game, as he is a big baseball fan. I let him play while I took my family out on an extended weekend only to come home to find my association dead. It turns out that he started one of his one, only to decide to delete it. The only problem was that the one he deleted was mine.

Oh well the good thing was that I had not gotten too far into it.

With that said, I am going to try again but I am going to change teams.

Thanks,
