Frankly, I still feel a 40- or 45- man roster would work best. You'd have your 25 players in the majors and just a variety of 15-to-20 players in the minors. Is a very good compromise, especially when playing real associations. I've found that 35-player rosters are disasterous for countless reasons- either you don't have enough of a farm system to plan for the future or for injuries and/or you also end up losing players that really were on the team, just not in the top-35, as I suffered in my Replay_2006 association. When I recently started a Replay_1997 association to see if I could get the Marlins to the World Series on my own, I opted for a 55-man roster. It was nice, as I gained more than 35 players that were on the team, but at the same time it was an issue, because I had to stuff about 10-12 scrubs into Single-A.
