Some times when I charge Cav or union charge game crashes. Thought it might be something in background but I closed everything out and it only when cav charges not firing.

Do you have saves from before this happens? If so, please zip the files and send them to ericbabe@west-civ.com. If you don't have the files, please describe in more detail whatever you can about both the charging units and the units being charged. Also, it would be very helpful if now when playing detailed battle you would save just before charging, so that if a crash occurs it will be preserved.

This is a strange one, and not a problem anyone has reported before. By any chance have you been modding any files? If so, that might be the cause.

no modleing. Wouldn't no how if I could. My charge was at the end of the battle while feds retreating. I'm playing Rebs with out of command off. I'm also playing second lt level. Damn thats tuff. The feds wheel shoot then wheel back to orignal facing. I don't know how to zip files. I plan to run the turn again. I sent the error report to MS that what pops up. I will save the turn before I do a charge. The last crash was in the begining of the battle about second round (union did a surprise attack)

If you could save the game inside a detailed battle before it happens, that would be the best.

What are your system specifications?
