Andy_MKST -> Static LCU movement with latest patch? (7/23/2007 4:41:21 PM)

Since the last patch I have had a couple of games where static CD units up stick and wander across the map.

Has anyone else seen this, I don't remember it coming up on the forums, if not I will try and find a save with the issue.

New one on me, but i play CHS where they "anchor" the static units with additional forts.

Static units can start wandering around in some circumstances: if the portion of equipment which is static is DESTROYED, then there is nothing to keep the unit from moving. Of course, if it DOES start to move, you'd best turn off replacements, because if the static piece of equipment is replaced, the unit will become static again. For instance, it is very embarassing to have a CD unit planted in the middle of the Australian desert ... [:D]

There is still a problem with pointers to units when the player selects one from a list.  If you click on an LCU from the Ground Units Screen, you'll notice that the very first unit in the display at the bottom of the map screen will still be highlited.  If you issue a movement order in the LCU Details Window, the unit that is highlited on the map display will be the one to execute the move, regardless of whether it is static or not, not the unit that is being displayed in the Details Window.
