canuckgamer -> Patches for World at War (7/26/2007 5:20:09 AM)

My friend and I were just about to play WAW again but I don't see the patches on the Matrix site anymore, not even any mention of the game. According to my records, the last patch was 1.202. Is there any place that I can still download this patch? Is 1.202 inclusive, i.e. assuming that I can still get it, is it the only patch that I would need to install? Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

Patch 1.202 is available here

ftp://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/GaryGrigsbysWorldAtWar/GGWaW-Update-v1202.zip

and yes it's the only patch you need to apply.

The link was taken from Matrix, just go to the games section and search for World at War, then click on downloads and the links are still there.

The latest patch that I can see at the download site is 1.011 so this is a useful link. Thanks!

Except that is seems that this was a original WAW question in the new AWD forum leading to my confusion. [8|]

Why no official 1.202 patch?

What is in 1.202 that is not in 1.011? I downloaded 1.202 but do not see any attached .txt file explaining the changes.

There patch policy is frustrating. There should be a text file included with every patch so you can read the changes and if it is official, beta, etc.

Ah, nevermind.  I see that 1.202 is for World at War - not A World Divided.  Still would be nice to have a text file included with the download to see the changes.

There is a read me text file included with the download. Go to the root directory for your game after installing and it's there in PDF and notebook format. It lists the change and bug fix history all the way back to version 1.008
