Shaun,

Still getting problems with this error. Cannot run the program at all after the start window. Have uninstalled, reinstalled, cleaned registry after uninstall and then reinstall, but cannot get past this point. Did install through v1.61, and am dl 1.62 to see if that helps. Do you have any suggestions?

This is absolutely baffling. I assume bass.dll is sitting right there in your c:\windows\system32 folder?

PureSim simply looks for that file whereever the operating system says c:\windows\system32 is and then it looks in the current directory.

The only ideas I have:

1. Make sure c:\windows\system32 is in your path
2. Copy bass.dll into the same folder as puresim2k7.exe (I think you already tried this)
3. Just to be sure its not some strange conflict, make sure you disable any antivirus stuff
4. Check your hard disk for errors
5. Log in with administrator rights

Hope we figure this one out. Very strange...

Do you mean that system32 is in path of program for Puresim?  Please clarify this aspect.

Is your bass.dll specific to your programming?  I am not a programmer myself, so I would not know how to extract a specific file from an install program.  Maybe that's the issue.  I would really like to fix this, your game is excellent.

No, I mean in your computer's "path" environment variable.

Bass DLL is not a PureSim-specific component, it is a 3rd party library that makes it easy to integrate compatible sound and music into the game. You can download the latest copy of BASS.DLL here.

Downloading the latest dll fixed the problem. Thanks for the advice.
