puresimmer -> PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 3:32:08 AM)

1.63 Is out. More fixes and tweaks! I am feeling really good about the game these days!

Grab v1.63 Here

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 5:08:19 AM)

Can we install full from this patch ?? minus the others ??

Will CE addition work also ??

puresimmer -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 5:20:35 AM)

All releases are full installs it doesn't matter what version you are on you can download any patch and be just fine.

Shaun

timtellean1 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 5:29:59 AM)

Shaun Any chance you could just upload needed files. Doing a 182 mb d/l everytime seems excessive.

thanks

puresimmer -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:02:12 AM)

I did it that way in the past but in this just makes it more straightforward for everyone and removes a lot of doubt. I totally sympathize with folks that don't have broadband but if you do, this is like 2 minute download.

I'm not trying to be flippant, just saying that this avoids a lot of issues since it will work for everyone no matter what version they are on.

Shaun

RedSox67 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:05:40 AM)

Shaun.  When running the 1.63 install, I get an error message:

c:\Matrix Games\Pure Sim Baseball 2007\HTML\Images\Gamecast.png
A decompression error has occurred (#7)
File CRC Mismatch - Data Integrity Error

I went ahead and started a new association and haven't noticed any problems yet, except probably unrelated the game doesn't convert to Full Screen automatically anymore.

I have re-downloaded and reinstalled, but still get the same error.  Should I go back to an older version?  Or is the error not a showstopper?

And do you know how I can get back to full screen?

Thanks,
Bob

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:10:01 AM)

Same error here.

Mine would not open, I got the initial screen and it just stayed there.

Uninstalled, removed reg entries, and went up to 1.60 all is well now

KG Erwin -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:10:03 AM)

disregard

timtellean1 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:21:44 AM)

Same error as RedSox for me. And DSL it was a 15 min. d/l :)

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:36:43 AM)

Now game will not open at all no matter what I do !

KG Erwin -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:57:48 AM)

C'mon , guys, all you gotta do is run the new install routine. The old stuff is automatically overwritten. No manual uninstall/reinstall is necessary. I didn't have a bit of trouble with it.

Did you follow all the necessary steps? Remember, you gotta re-enter your registration number each time a patch (which is essentially a game replacement) is released.

PS Don't know if this matters, but I always start the game thru the puresim2k7.exe shortcut.

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 7:44:02 AM)

I dont know what happened but now I cant get any version to install. I am going to regroup and try again tomorrow

I got the error too installing it over an earlier version. I clicked ignore and it finished up with no problems. Played a game with no issues, also.

puresimmer -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 4:03:03 PM)

OK, heres what to try:

1. Reboot
2. Uninstall PureSim (don't worry you won't lose any associations it does not remove those)
3. Re-install PureSim (any version from 1.60 - 1.63 will do)

That should get you back and running.

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 4:23:52 PM)

Still the same (installed 1.63)

Click on .exe as well nothing ????????????????????????????

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 4:38:05 PM)

OK I am going to try it on another PC.
I think this one is the cause  (new laptop wont be in for a few days yet)

I am going to try it on my desktop and see !

That wont affect my license will it ??  (i think i have asked that already !)

puresimmer -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 4:44:39 PM)

No your license is fine as long as the same license is being used concurrently on more than 1 PC.

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 4:55:37 PM)

Works just fine (1.63) on desktop  must be this pc. I will keep it on the desktop till new one gets here

Thanks Shaun !!  Very much

I can relax now      PLAY BALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DonBraswell -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 5:38:51 PM)

I've Downloaded PS 1.63 six times and always get this:

c:\Matrix Games\Pure Sim Baseball 2007\HTML\Images\Gamecast.png
A decompression error has occurred (#7)
File CRC Mismatch - Data Integrity Error

Not only that but I'm getting runtime error 429 Active X component can't create object . Every time I try to start PureSim. I've uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled so many times I've lost count. I've tried PS 1.60 and 1.62 still get RTE 429. I'm tired!
Don

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:15:52 PM)

Hey Don,

Does the error give you a file name (.dll or such)  ????

It looks like the upload corrupted that file in the install -- the problem is NOT on your end there. The good news is you can safely ignore that issue as you already have the file.

I have not heard of anyone getting a 429 however. That one is troubling. Are you running Vista?

You after re-thinking this. I think I am going to go back to the baseline full install followed by small patches. Especially given the amount of releases I expect to do over the summer.

Thanks for getting me to re-think this.

Shaun

Shaun,

I did a new install and got that file error !
I dont have that file now !

seem to be running ok now though !!?? Is it possible for you to send us this file and insert it in the right place or does the file matter ??

LetsPlay2 -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 6:46:07 PM)

That file doesn't seem to be affecting anything (Gamecast included)

Played a week and everything seems to be great now.

On with 1929 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DonBraswell -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 7:32:09 PM)

No Shaun I'm running XP. I've had a RTE 429 off and on for awhile. Reinstalling used to take care of it, but not now. I can't seem to find any way to get into the game. RTE 429 is keeping me locked out.
Don

DonBraswell -> RE: PureSim Baseball v1.63 Released (7/28/2007 7:34:14 PM)

LetsPlay2, no a file name isn't showing up. Just RTE 429.
Don
