Jonny -> Two Disasters (7/28/2007 9:32:36 AM)

I seek help.
Two problems have struck me down. First off, I downloaded the latest patch and now when I hit play I get a message that says "TOAW could not find expected registry information. You may need to reinstall the game." This was horrifying, much like when Gorman lost Apone on C-level. So now I am totally confused.
Secondly I have been playing FitE 7.0 as the Axis. However it is telling me wrong .eqp folder. So I have not really been playing it, the first turn but my opponent can't play his half.
So the biggest issue is I cannot play the game, secondly I have an equipment file issue.
Please help,
Jonny

You're going to have to re-install TOAW and the patches, I'm afraid.

Do a help/about. you are probably playing different patch levels of TOAW.

Let me know if those don't fix things.

m5000 - For some reason Buzz hasn't posted 7.0 here yet. Maybe he will when he sees this.

Jonny - It's always horrifying when the walls start moving. If you haven't added the files like you see in this screen shot, you should. Initially, you will get the 'wrong .eqp file' message, but from then on you shouldn' get it.

Check out this one to see if it helps with the registry issue.

How do I reinstall the game if I downloaded it?  I'm not going to have to rebuy the game?

But thanks for the help.

Jonny -> RE: Two Disasters (7/29/2007 8:30:57 AM)

I just reinstalled the original release 3109 and the game works.  I will download the patches and see what happens.
Again thank you,
Jon

Okay, patched versions won't let me play.

Jon,
I think that 3.1.0.9 is the latest version. If that's true, then you don't need the patches until the next patch is released.

Sorry haven't been around for a bit, family funeral, will be home tomorrow. But I found that if you open Mod 7 in the editor and save it, the eqp file should work after that. If not I will send you a new scn and eqp file.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Zort -> RE: Two Disasters (8/1/2007 6:41:24 PM)

Ralph, thanks.

Jonny, did you get it to work? If it didn't I will send a new one to you.

Jonny -> RE: Two Disasters (9/5/2007 4:12:56 AM)

I did get it to work. Thanks!
However, posting on a new thread I just ten minutes have encountered a most curious problem.
Please see the other post.
Thanks,
Jonny
