Has anyone else had this little problem: I went to the org editor to begin work and I got an immediate error message, something to the effect of invalid unit 01 comp line 233, ref. 1069. I went to the company.oob file and counted down to line 233 of thereabouts...

Jason, anyone, can you tell me what is wrong here and I will fix it. I got nothing above a company in my org editor and I was thinking of invading France. If you can't help I'll have to invade Belize instead.

Apparently peace has broken out all over Western Europe. Browsing different dates in the org editor I cannot find anything above a company for any country in any date range. This is a significant problem and I hope it will be addressed with absolute dispatch. The problem cripples the game from a scenario design purpose.

Please consider not waiting for a future patch on this one. As so many of the wonderful new nations and equipment are not yet represented in stock scenarios this problem amounts to a PaK 88 wound to the head.

As they used to say in that folksy commercial - thanks for your support.

What was the original date you were having a problem with? I can't seem to find a problem.

I just tried it in 1939 and 1943 no problems. Yours looks just like mine so I am puzzled you have a problem.

I will send you my copy my WF Company01.oob and see if that fixes your problem.
Mine works so that should work.

If you have one of these errors it stops the rest of the upper level files of the org.exe from compiling in the listing you see on your screen.

The problem happened as soon as I opened the org editor from the main screen, so you tell me, whatever the default date is, then that's the date - I think 1941, but I do not know the month.

I emailed Asiaticus and I will let you know as well - this is after the 1.02 patch, and I have not modified a single oob file, not on any level. If I had been been screwing around trying to mod something and buggered the works I would not be whining about it on the boards (I would opt for a quiet, shame-faced reinstall). I tried a variety of dates between September 1939 and April 1945 in the precocious belief I could find a few German and British divisions - no soap. Some nations began with just platoons, some could muster companies. That is all I can tell you.

I suspect someone is eventually going to tell me to reinstall

I suspect you are correct. I finally received my boxed version of the game, which I installed on Sunday, patched it with the available patches and then tried to duplicate your results on that fresh install - of 1.02a.

No luck.

I would recommend installing the 1.02 patch again.
