I have a copy of War in the Pacific and everything has worked fine until just recently.

Now the game goes through the initial loading screen but locks up at the splash screen and goes black. After waiting several minutes for the main game screen to load I can go into task manager and the game is not responding. Has anyone else experienced that?

Never mind, found the issue.  There is a media check program that loads up at bootup for a digital camera that was causing the issue.  I removed it and now it starts up just fine.  Grrr had to lose some saved games to find this out because I tried removing the game, but at least now I can play the thing again.
