ki30, ki51---ki32---ki48---ki21,ki49,ki67 starting from 41, all DBs can be changed into LB. [8\|] As long as you keep a small squadron ki32 and a small square ki48, the pathway is open for DB to LB, or LB to DB. Into deadly later 44, as ki102a, ki46IIIKAI, and Ki84Ia appear. ki21,ki49,ki67---ki48---ki102a---Ki46IIIKAI---Ki84Ia---Ki84Ic If the small Ki48 squadron is still kept, All LB can be change into Ki84Ia fighter.[&o] All the rookie fighter squadrons can also be changed into LB to run ASW for gaining exp savely. Ki45KAIb---Ki102a---Ki46IIIKAI---Ki84Ia---Ki84Ic Even the few FB squares can also change into Ki84Ia. So, at the beginning of 45, all the IJA DB, LB, FB and F squadrons are all equipped with Ki84Ia or Ki84Ic to defend every air battle field.[:D]

Don't think that fighter squadrons can become land bombers (though not 100% sure). Some upgrades only work in one direction.
