m10bob -> RE: Foreign aircraft in Japanese service. (8/18/2007 6:18:08 AM)

There were a lot of planes purchased by Japan in the thirties, but with only a few examples, why bother using up a slot? The P 35 was purchased and supposedly used when the A6m2 was being considered for some of its' features. The major "foreign models" which Japan had in any number are already in the game, (DC2, DC3, Lockheed Electra and Hudson, etc.) During the war they had P 40's, B 17's,etc, which they captured in the Phillipines.. http://www.j-aircraft.com/misc/foreign.htm [image]local://upfiles/7909/A05F4D5AEC1348048C3079C748A25063.jpg[/image]
